I moved to Montana from New Jersey. Sometimes I miss the house I had. It was a gorgeous Victorian style house that had been built in 1904. Big wrap-around porch, circular turret, gingerbread. The whole Victorian nine yards. We were in the process of renovating it which I think was going to be a full time job; but worth it. My husband was painting the exterior - three colors, of course, and we needed to replace the exterior shutters. The main body was a lovely cream color and the accent colors were khaki and oxblood red. I think I would have gone for red cedar shutters. I could have put a complimentary stain on them and they would have looked stunning.
I wish I had a photo to show you but I lost all the pictures when our laptop fried. Ugh! Fortunately I do have some prints but don't ask this computer bobo how to scan, etc. You can take my word for how beautiful the house was.
