I put the first coat of paint in the living/dining room today. The color is called Quaker Grey and in person is a rather bluish/silver/grey. In the pictures it looks more battleship grey which is a bit disappointing. It really is a bit more welcoming when you are in the room. It's my most neutral color pick, heh heh.
I think it frames the windows nicely.
This corner will house our woodstove. It's a Vermont Castings in deep navy blue so the paint will really show it off. The hearth is slate with black grout.
The grey will abut the cherry red of the kitchen so that will surely warm it up. I hope to find a red sofa - that would be my dream - but I doubt I will have the money for it. I will have to take what crosses my path.
I think the second coat will make it a much richer color.
Next will be the second of three coats in the bathroom. Woo hoo!

It also looks nice with the natural beauty outside.
Wow! It is really coming along. I love your colors, Patty.
So the question is: Do you have a guest room?? ;)
Looks like the color of sky!It is beautiful, and I love all your windows!
I really like the grey. I can't wait to see the wood stove. I really hope my new house has one. There's nothing like a wood fire on a cold windy day...like today. My duck eggs were frozen to the grass this morning.
That wall of windows is so nice. Looks like you have a very pretty view!

Lovin' the progress!
dont forget, they make some really decent couch slipcovers these days, so dont give up on the red!
Looks very nice!
Wow - you did a fantastic job! With this view, you do not need any wall art ;-)
Love the color - it almost looks blue - the perfect color to showcase the beautiful outdoors. Its coming along nicely. I'll bet you can't wait to get it finished and get moved in!!!
I am loving your paint colors!!
Wow I really love it, I can't wait to see it with all the accents. I'd check craigslist.org, I've found some amazing things on there. I bet you could find a couch. My friend found a beautiful red lounge chair on there :)
Thanks guys! I am really starting to get excited.
Lin - the basement is going to be a small apartment eventually and the trailer will still be here. It's like a house, you know!
Love the new audio book up, didn't want to leave a comment on it to screw up your counts. I think I have that one coming ;)
