We are off to get another freezer today.
Why?
Oh because the corn harvest is coming in and I have filled one freezer with cherries, peaches, snowpeas, beans and what remains of last years corn harvest and the second freezer with meat, spinach, carrots and sundry other things that need be frozen.
The corn is looking AND tasting very good this year.
He brought in 54 ears Monday night.
Blanched and taken off the cob
and into freezer bags.
Hence the need for more freezer space. We want to get a year ahead on vegetables in case of a bad garden year. That's a lot of vegetables!

Holy crap that's a lot of corn!!!
I love fresh corn on the cob, you are so lucky!
I am so jealous! I wish that I had a garden that produced like yours!! Congrats on all the yummy food!
I'm so very jealous! On the brighter side, the corn we've had from the grocery store this summer has been amazing. It does not grow well locally, like the cabbage and broccoli does!
it looks so good!!! Needing a second freezer is a GOOD problem for a gardener! That means you did good!
I awarded you; http://fredasvoice.blogspot.com/2010/08/blog-with-substance-award.html
