My love of chocolate is now pretty much known far and wide.
Even so, 12 Days of Chocolate?
The things I do for you, my blog readers.
The suffering. The pain.
I had to try all of this chocolate.
All for you.
I hope you appreciate it.
heh
Today's treat is Bubble Chocolate that new aerated confection taking the country by storm. It's chocolate and bubbles hence - Bubble Chocolate! Here is how the company tells its story:
If you (like we) have had the good fortune of traveling outside the US from time to time, either on business or for pleasure, most likely you would have discovered one of our European neighbors' most treasured taste experiences....bubbles-with-chocolate (technically known as aerated chocolate). Many years ago we developed a deep adoration for this chocolate's unforgettable sensation. We kept waiting for it to arrive to the US shores. It never came. So we finally decided to take matters into our own hands to make it readily available to all discerning cocoa lovers in the US. From our families to yours enjoy the virtues of Bubble Chocolate® each and every day!
I received a bar of both the milk and dark chocolate varieties of Bubble Chocolate. This worked out great since I am a fan of milk and the hubby loves dark. We each had our own bar and there was no fighting.
Since this is a unique kind of yummy there is a secret to eating Bubble Chocolate:
Our cocoa educated European neighbors are quite experienced in enjoying the customary pleasures of Bubble Chocolate®. The time-tested method is to start by breaking off a small piece of Bubble Chocolate and popping it into your mouth. Let it melt for a few seconds. As you begin to feel the bubbles soften begin to chew gently. The mouth-feel will develop from slightly dry, to moist and creamy. Bubble Chocolate is designed to be savored. It has truly become a unique, personal, and daily cocoa encounter for millions of people worldwide.
Having been so instructed this is exactly what I did. The chocolate melted in my mouth and it has a distincly different taste from the chocolate I am used to. Less sugary sweet I would say. The hubby found he did not care for his dark chocolate as much as his usual fare but he eats those 90% cocoa bars and I suspect it was just not "dark" enough for him. He did find the bubbles interesting.
Thanks to the great folks at Bubble Chocolate one lucky reader will also get to try a bar of each kind of Bubble Chocolate.

I learned that Infusing chocolate with bubbles enhances the mouth experience because the resulting structure causes chocolate to melt more rapidly across the tongue. sejotess@yahoo.com

I learned that Per ounce Bubble Chocolate has the same caloric count as other non aerated chocolate bars. However, if one compares Bubble Chocolate to a traditional solid chocolate bar, Bubble Chocolate is inherently 1/3 larger because of its micro air bubbles inner core. As a result Bubble Chocolate has fewer calories per volume.

the bubbles in the chocolate cause it to melt on the tongue faster creating a faster taste sensation! sounds almost pornographic. ;-)

I learned that Chocolate is most satisfying when its melting point is close to one's body temperature, I do love chocolate and would eat it melted, or cold, or anyway it comes in and I would love to try this Bubble Chocolate, it has me very interested in aerated chocolate
