Review and Giveaway: Thai Kitchen

I have shown you several delicious Thai Kitchen products and now I have one more. This is from their Simply Asia line - I did not know about these products! It is always fun to learn about new items for the kitchen.

I received the Simply Asia General Tso's Chicken Steamer. It was super easy to make - it cooks in the microwave. Another first for me! I had never cooked a dinner in the microwave. This is a post of firsts for sure!

All I needed to make a complete and easy meal was some chicken, rice and a vegetable. So the rice was put on to cook, I put some beets in to roast for the hubby (ick if I do say so myself. I had beans) and then I went to work on the chicken.

I took the powdered mix per the instructions and mixed it with some soy sauce, water and sugar.

Then I took out the enclosed steamer bag and set it in a microwave safe 9"x13" dish.

Then in went the chicken. Followed by the mixed sauce.
I sealed it up with the enclosed thingie. I know, I know. I'm getting technical again...

Then it went into the microwave for 7 minutes to cook and to rest for 5.

It came out looking done and yummy.
I served it over the rice and with the icky beets.

The hubby was happy.

It was very tasty. The chicken was moist and the sauce had a really nice heat to it. It was quick and simple to prepare and clean up was beyond easy. Gotta love that!
