I had time to create this week. Two glorious days of me, my beads and my imagination. The first day I made a necklace and a pair of earrings. I have them listed in the shop.
I am quite pleased with them; they are very romantic. I think I needed something soft and pretty after all the ugly weather we have been having. The necklace uses some gorgeous Swiss blue topaz beads I have been hoarding for a bit and these g.o.r.g.e.o.u.s. druzy rosebud pearls I have been saving for something special. Each pearl is unique. I think that's why I like them so much.
I think it would look lovely on a bride or with a pretty sundress. I also think it would soften a suit in a delightful way. The topaz has a lot of sparkle for a smooth cut. The pearls have a nice, heavy nacre and plenty of opalescence.
The earrings compliment but don't match. I used two larger rosebud druzy pearls as the focal points and then accented with the tiniest of blue topaz rounds. They are very sweet and perfect for a summer day.
They are on gold fill leverbacks and fall about 2". I just think I was in a romantic mood. Our 30th anniversary is this month and it brings back lots of memories.
I have lots of other pieces still in the shop so be sure to check them all out. Several are on sale.
I will show you the other pieces in the coming days. I certainly hope to have more time for creating over the weekend.
