I don't know about you but I spent many a year sitting and watching my brothers play sports. I went to baseball games and basketball games galore! This was in the olden days before soccer became such a popular sport for young children to play. Back then it was the classics for boys; football, baseball and basketball and my brothers played two out of three.
I would sit and cheer at every game even though I wasn't always sure what was going on; baseball was easier to figure out than basketball. It was also a touch more boring - no offense boys but my butt got sore sitting on those metal stands waiting for the game to play out. At least with basketball the game moved along a bit more quickly! But it really wasn't about the games, it was all about making memories.
In my old house in New Jersey I had a wall full of photos. For many of them I used a custom framing shop like HTFM. It made all the difference in the world with how my photos were displayed. I had pictures of all of my brothers from childhood, through those ball playing years and to their wedding days. Then came their children and it began again. I started sitting at games once more but this time it WAS soccer. They started at 4 years old and they looked like an amoeba running around the field after the ball.
My nieces and nephews are still playing sports - from basketball to running track to roller hockey to baseball but alas, I am not there to see them play. I'm saddened by that but I do get to see the photos and I'm happy about that. What would we do without photos?
