It was cold when we woke up this morning.
Freezing cold.
I'm talking 24°.
The weather here is just weird.
We went from summer to winter in the blink of an eye.
We have had to have a fire for the last two mornings and as mentioned previously there was that first snow in the mountains.
I am beginning to think there are only two seasons here - Winter and Summer.
That being said, today is gorgeous.
The sun is shining.
The sky is a bright, clear blue.
All of the smoke is gone.
I want to go on a hike in the mountains.
Did I just type that?
Yes, yes I did.
It's that kind of day.
The kind of day that makes you want to get away from it all and go spend time in nature.
But alas, I can't.
It's my volunteer day at the food bank so volunteer I will.
But I will be smiling because I will be thinking of how pretty it is outside and how maybe, just maybe I can get the hubby to sneak away tomorrow for a bit of a walk.
Canning season is done.
Hallelujah!
Maybe now I can enjoy the outside before the bitter cold arrives.
I might just read outside tomorrow.
For a little bit.
There is so much to get caught up on and I have soap orders to fill and jewelry to make.
But there won't be much time for outside soon.
Winter is here.
