I want to thank Patty for the opportunity to introduce our company on her blog. Broken Teepee is such a unique blog and it will be on my Favorites list for many years to come.
Well, let’s talk wreaths! I’m Jennifer McFadden and my family owns a Christmas wreath company in northern Minnesota. My husband and I started this business in our early 20s and now almost a decade later we’re still going strong. We sell handmade, fresh, balsam fir wreaths in a variety of styles mostly through our website: www.jenswreaths.com All of the wreaths are made here at our farm and shipped directly to customers throughout the United States.

Traditional Wreath
What I want to talk about today are the different types of wreaths and balsam fir products we have to offer. I worked for 7 years in the window treatment industry selling blinds and curtains. I've found that finding the right wreath to fit the customer is similar to finding the right style of curtain for a window. You can find a lot of curtains that you can make fit a window. However, when you find the best fit, it’s something to be excited about. You might be surprised but not every wreath will well work for your front door. On the other hand, with dozens of decoration choices and sizes available, I am certain you can find a winning wreath at our online store.
We make our wreaths in multiple sizes. The smallest wreath diameter is 18” and the largest is 48”. Taking into consideration the size of your front door or wall is very important. Our smallest wreaths work great in apartments or dorm rooms. The bestselling size we offer is the 24” diameter and this seems to meet the size requirement of the majority of our customers. It fits well on a door or wall. Don’t forget our large wreaths http://www.jenswreaths.com/shop/christmas-wreaths/large-christmas-wreaths/ - they are very popular for business buildings, barns, and homes with a large wall space.

Berry Sweet Collection
After taking size into consideration the size of your wreath, the next question that comes to mind is, “What type of wreath do I want?” I find that our traditional wreath with a red velvet bow is a solid product every year. It just has the warm and cozy feel. The name describes it perfectly – it’s traditional. Last year we introduced our Berry Sweet Collection. These wreaths were so popular that we brought them back for 2012. They are a series of wreaths with a bow off-center on the side and they make a statement. They are something different and exciting, far from traditional. Ultimately, you have to decide what wreath you like best.
Remember, to take into consideration the personality of the person, if you are sending the wreath as a gift. For example, great-grandma, may not find beauty in a loud, lime-green, bow on her fresh wreath. Meanwhile, your daughter away at college may find the lime-green bow to be the coolest decoration ever.

Deluxe Centerpiece and Candle
As a final point, don’t forget to take into consideration the other balsam fir products we have to offer. Jen’s Wreaths has candy canes, crosses, centerpieces, swags, bows, ornaments, and pine cones. A candy cane can be a nice break for a person who has been stuck in a rut getting a wreath year after year. A cross on the other hand can be a very special item to remember a loved one who passed away by placing it at the cemetery. Centerpieces are always a fun accent to add to the dining room table. We offer our swags in different shapes too. An arch swag can work well over the fireplace or a vertical swag may look best on the garage outside. The possibilities are endless.
Finally, this holiday season, when you are stressing out over what to buy, wreaths can be an easy gift. You simply choose what you want and we do the rest. We offer FREE gift cards with a custom message in the box. We will work with you to pick out the best date for the wreath(s) to be delivered and Fed-Ex offers great tracking all along the way.
On behalf of our family and employees at Jen’s Wreaths, I wish each of you a happy and healthy holiday season. For all the Broken Teepee readers, we have a special 10% discount. Just enter coupon code: teepee upon checkout for the savings.
